My Kitchen Rules stars Alice and Peter Bottomley leave Nigella Lawson disappointed with undercooked pudding: ‘I don’t want to dwell on it’
My Kitchen Rules returned to screens after a two-year hiatus on Sunday night.
And in the first father and daughter duet, Alice and Peter Bottomley failed to impress the judges with their undercooked pudding.
“I saw a drop dripping from Nigella’s spoon and I knew it was all over,” said Alice, 31, reflecting on their misadventure.

“The spoon went into the pudding too fast, it just blew up. It’s seriously devastating,” Peter said.
After their opponents gave them a combined score of 28 out of 50, it was then time for Nigella Lawson and Manu Feildel to weigh in on their meals.
The duo scored a five out of 10 for their entry.

When it came time to score their dessert, Nigella and Manu were left disappointed by their grandmother’s delicious lemon pudding in delicate tea cups.
‘It’s heartbreaking. It wasn’t cooked like your grandmother used to be, was it? Nigelle asked.
‘You and I both know what was wrong, and I don’t want to dwell on it. It was undercooked, Nigella explained.
Manu agreed: “If you received a dish like this in a restaurant, it would go straight back to the kitchen.

Manu continued: “Unfortunately all I can give you is one”.
Speaking to producers, Alice said she was devastated that they got a low score for their dessert, but said it was only fair.
“If I had been at the table giving it a rating, I wouldn’t have given it a rating at all,” she later told producers.
