Rob Stratton has been appointed director of visual and media rights at Sony Music Publishing UK.

In this role, Stratton will be responsible for working with broadcasters and media production companies, and will be the primary point of contact for SMP’s UK visual and media clients. He will also support Senior Vice President Cathy Merenda and the largest visual and media rights team in the United States to continue to grow the business internationally.

Stratton joined Sony Music Publishing as head of promotions in 2014, where he then held his most recent role in the visual and media rights department. He has worked on many of the company’s deals with All3Media, Mattel, Entertainment One and many more.

“I am thrilled to continue my journey with Sony Music Publishing in this new role,” said Stratton. “With our outstanding teams in the UK and US, I look forward to bringing new opportunities to our visual and media rights clients and driving our business forward.”
