Mrs Hinch’s father dies: Star shares ‘unimaginable pain’ as dad ‘passes away suddenly but peacefully in his sleep’ – month after hospital stay with breathing problems

Mrs Hinch, real name Sophie Hinchliffe, revealed her father Alan had died.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Sophie, 34, shared a gallery of images and revealed that her father died suddenly in his sleep on April 25, a month after he was hospitalized with breathing problems.

She wrote: “April 25, 2024. My precious father passed away suddenly but so peacefully while he was sleeping. My life, our entire world, was turned upside down.

“A deep, unimaginable pain that I cannot express in words.

“My beloved dad, beloved grandfather of our boys, your workshop is locked and I sleep with the key. I promise to pursue your workshop dream.

“Until we meet and sing together again. Good night daddy, my absolute king. Your Bubberloo.

“Grief, I have learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but can’t give. All that unspent love gathers in the corner of your eyes, in the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Heartbreak is just love with nowhere to go.

In April, Sophie revealed her father had been in hospital for three weeks.

She said at the time: “So my dad is in hospital right now.

“My father never had the chance, shall we say, to have fantastic health, in terms of his chest, his lungs, his heart. He always had trouble.

Sophie then explained how, when her father retired, she set up a workshop for him on her £1million ‘forever’ farm.

She said she filled the workshop with wood and tools so he “could live out this dream he had since he was a little boy.”

Sophie had said her father was in “good hands” at the hospital and praised the “incredible” nurses who cared for her beloved father.
