This feature-length documentary follows Tight and nerdy across the United States on what may well be their last tour. As the story progresses, we learn that their “Al-Stravaganza” is more than just a comedy show. Behind the stage, wild characters and costumes lurk ordinary humans dealing with universal themes such as female empowerment, gender inequality and overcoming family trauma, all set to some of Weird’s most memorable music. Al. Directed by Jeff Nucera And Jonathan Rouanit’s a film that speaks squarely to those who have been bullied for being different.
KindaTight and nerdy stage shows, SHOWS is independently produced by some of Al’s most hardcore devotees. Fans of Al, burlesque and/or documentaries are invited to support the film via Kickstarter starting at 10 a.m. EST Tuesday, February 7, 2023 on BareToBeStupid.com.
The film includes an interview with five-time Grammy Award winner “Weird Al” Yankovic, who has spent more than 40 years demonstrating to misfits around the world that weirdness should be celebrated.
