Mohamed Salah has proven that his legendary status in Egypt is not only due to his ability as a footballer.
The Liverpool star is said to have made a huge donation to help rebuild a church destroyed by a deadly fire.

The fire is said to have killed at least 41 people
About 1,000 Coptic Christian worshipers gathered for mass at Abu Sifin Church on Sunday with officials believing a power failure in the air conditioning unit led to the fire.
At least 41 people have died, 18 of whom are believed to be children, in the fire in Giza, an Egyptian city across the Nile from the capital, Cairo.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has ordered the armed forces to rebuild the church, which will be aided with Salah’s help.
Salah donated three million Egyptian dollars, equivalent to £129,706, On time Sports reports.
It’s not the first time the Liverpool hero has shown his selfless nature, being named eighth in The Sunday Times’ 2022 charity list. The Times estimate the striker recently dropped £2.5m.
Salah’s most notable donation came in 2019 when he donated £2.4million to the National Cancer Institute in Cairo after it was damaged by a car bomb.

He also helped build a hospital, school, youth center and ambulance in Nagrig, as well as donating five acres of land for a waste treatment plant, enabling residents to have a safe source of drinking water.
