MLB The Show 21 patch 9 patch notes

The ninth patch for MLB The Show 21 was released on Saturday.
The latest update covered several parts of the game, but also included an important note to its community regarding the creation of custom content in the vault.
Let’s take a quick look at the highlights and a deeper look at the community address element.
3 Elite Diamond Dynasty Catchers Get a ‘Pop Time’ Quirk
The Ivan Rodriguez, Gary Carter, and Johnny Bench cards didn’t have the Pop Time quirk before the update. Now, historically elite defensive receivers will have that added to their cards.
I don’t know by how much this will increase the value of the cards, but this item still needed to be fixed.
Other game mode fixes
Through the franchise, online face-to-face, Road to the Show, and in the stadium and overview, many bugs and crashes were fixed. You can read them in detail at the link above.
Don’t get banned for “bad creations”
One of the great benefits of a powerful creative tool in video games is that it gives communities the opportunity to show off their artistry and creativity within the parameters of a specific tool. Additionally, the best in-game authoring suites allow users to share their content with fellow gamers.
On the flip side, there will always be people who choose to contaminate an otherwise awesome feature with sophomoric, petty, and silly imagery / concepts that mar the experience of those seeking venom-free video game fun.
These two factors create a conundrum for developers and publishers: Are we keeping a really cool feature that our consumers love despite negative use of the tool, or are we removing it out of fear that the negative images will end up on them? social networks and be attributed to the brand of the game?
This can be a tricky situation, but luckily it looks like Sony is deciding to keep its strong logo design feature (for use in team rebranding and custom stadiums), while also eliminating the negative elements and those that are. responsible for their dissemination.

“Since the launch of MLB the Show 21, we’ve seen absolutely amazing content created in the stadium logo and vaults. Every year we see things created with a level of detail that makes its way through the studio and leaves us speechless. We have some really passionate and talented creators in our community, and we love to see how they push our content creation tools further and further each year. Unfortunately, we have also seen some disrespectful creations. We want to be clear: this type of content has no place in MLB The Show, and to date we have removed many of these creations and revoked access to MLB The Show for accounts that post such unacceptable content. . Many of these bad creations have been brought to our attention by reports from our dedicated community, and for that we are eternally grateful. On behalf of everyone here at San Diego Studio, a sincere THANK YOU to all of the community who have helped us remove such disrespectful and offensive content and who continue to help us make MLB The Show a great place to go. to play.
I applaud Sony for making this decision and hope it will be consistently enforced until the word is spread throughout their community.
