The 2022 Major League Baseball Winter Meetings produced the biggest news of the offseason. Aaron Judge re-signed with the Yankees on Wednesday on a historic nine-year contract that will earn him $40 million a year (the highest average annual value ever for a position player). Judge landed in New York despite serious efforts by the San Francisco Giants and San Diego Padres to sign the record slugger.

Judge, after a 62 home run season, was the top prize in the free agent market, but many other All-Stars are still available, including Carlos Correa, Xander Bogaerts and Carlos Rodón. More free agent dominoes could fall on Wednesday as winter meetings wrap up in San Diego.

The MLB offseason is now a month old, and while the first few weeks have been slow, things have picked up speed in recent days with Jacob deGrom (Rangers), Justin Verlander (Mets) and Trea Turner (Phillies) all landing with new teams. Here are the notable moves so far from the winter meetings.
