Miley Cyrus has been named the face of a new Gucci fragrance.
The singer and actress was approached by the Italian luxury fashion house to present a fresh scent called Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Eau de Parfum, WWD reports.
Miley appears in a series of campaign shots and video made by Petra Collins to promote the fragrance, much to Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s delight.
Alessandro is a huge fan of the star, describing Miley as “an artist with a rock’n’roll and eclectic spirit.”
He is convinced that it will be a perfect fit for the countryside as it embodies the Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Eau de Parfum and the story behind the fragrance.
Campaign images will be unveiled closer to the fragrance’s release, which will be available for purchase on the Gucci website from July 30 and in stores and perfumeries around the world from August 1.
Miley is the latest in a long line of stars who have lent their name to the luxury brand. Singer Harry Styles is a long-time Gucci ambassador and was the star of the Gucci Memory of a Smell campaign.
Jared Leto and Lana del Rey have also worked with the company, as has Florence Welch, who has appeared in commercials for Gucci Bloom alongside Anjelica Huston and Jodie Turner-Smith.
Miley made no secret of her affection for Gucci, having worn a bespoke sequin cropped t-shirt with Alessandro’s lucky number 25 for her Super Bowl LV TikTok Tailgate pre-show performance in Tampa, Florida, earlier this year.
