Miley Cyrus Slips Into A Bubble Bath To Sing Moving ‘Stay’ For Fans In Paraguay: ‘This Is For You’ – Billboard

It’s been a tough week so far for Miley Cyrus. First, the singer survived a terrifying mid-air accident when the plane she was flying in was struck by lightning. And although she assured fans she was fine, the singer landed safely to find her headliner at the country’s Asunciónico festival had been canceled due to severe storms and flooding which also marred the first day of the event.

To make it up to her disappointed fans, Miley released a special exclusive bubble bath performance for them on Wednesday night (March 23), thanking them for sticking with her and making her single “Stay” #1 on iTunes in the country. “I wish I could STAY and play for all my fans in Paraguay. Please STAY safe. Love you,” she wrote. “(also if you can’t tell I’m a little sick, I think just super exhausted from the stress of yesterday! I have a few days to recover before BRAZIL!)”

In the video, a drunk-sounding Cyrus dedicated “Stay” to all of her fans she missed seeing due to the festival being canceled and the “terrifying” plane experience. “You all made ‘Stay’ #1 for me, so this is for you,” she said before singing an a cappella version of the moving ballad from her 2010 Cannot be tamed album.

Blowing the camera a kiss, Cyrus ended the nearly 2-minute clip with, “I love you, thank you for your support, thank you for all the best wishes, stay safe everyone.” Cyrus and his crew made it safely to an airport after making an emergency landing on Tuesday, but what was supposed to be the first edition of the Paraguayan festival in two years due to COVID-19 was canceled that day due to of floods.

The Foo Fighters, Doja Cat and Machine Gun Kelly headliner was taped off due to the weather, but Billboard The MGK cover star caught up with his fans by setting up a loudspeaker outside his hotel and hosting an impromptu show outside the Mision Hotel boutique. Cyrus is set to headline Lollapalooza Brasil in Sao Paulo on Saturday, March 26.
