The eagerly awaited Miley’s New Years Party with Pete Davidson It was definitely worth the wait, and let’s just say it’s not hard to see why it was such a hit with viewers! In addition to the hilarious skits, viewers were treated to musical appearances by Jack Harlow, Anitta and Kitty Ca $ h, as well as some truly memorable performances by Miley Cyrus herself with the Saturday Night Live actress, Brandi Carlile, Saweetie, 24kGoldn and her 21 year old younger sister, Noah Cyrus. And it goes without saying but we say it anyway – the 29-year-old “Plastic Hearts” singer’s styling game was stronger than ever, thanks to some truly spectacular pieces she wore throughout the show!
The very daring black Bob Mackie dress inspired by the sequined flappers that Miley wore in the promotional images definitely gave us a little taste of what we could expect from her, and we certainly weren’t disappointed! The “Angels Like You” musician wore a very provocative sparkly one-shoulder maxi dress in a very fun, party-ready shade of light green, and it featured more cutouts than we’ve ever seen on a single dress! As well as featuring a huge cutout from her chest to her waist on one side, there were also a few other smaller cutouts on the other side – because when you have abs as toned and sculpted as Miley’s, a cutting is certainly not sufficient! Miley finished off her stunning look by styling her hair in an edgy bun, with her bangs still visible in the front, and adding a shade of bright red lipstick to make the look even more pop!
Celebrities were certainly fond of cutout dresses in 2021, but if Miley’s dress is anything to go by, the trend is only going to get more racy in the New Year! And we haven’t even mentioned the high navel slit yet, which has taken the dress’s sensuality to new heights! Can we even call it a slit if the whole dress is apparently held together by what looks like a little gold chain? Either way, this was one of the sexiest dresses we’ve ever seen, and we’re pretty sure the celebrities will be trying to outdo it on the red carpet in 2022!
Some of Miley’s other super sexy high fashion looks included a multicolored mini skirt with a Dolce and Gabbana bra barely there as a top (one of the hottest trends of 2021 without a doubt!) And a multicolored jacket. in sparkling feathers, a skinny red jumpsuit paired with a matching red Saint Laurent blazer, a red feather-embellished mini dress with a train from the all-new Gucci Spring 2022 collection, a silver-fringed Versace jumpsuit with a daring plunging front and even a matching Akna metallic mesh skirt ripped barbed wire top, in which she had a real wardrobe malfunction!
Yes, Miley’s metallic top literally fell apart while she was playing “Party in the USA”, but she handled it like a true pro and temporarily left the stage to quickly get back into the red Saint Laurent blazer. and continue with the rest of the performance. When she came back on stage she laughed all over and joked that even with her top falling off, “I still wear the most clothes I have ever worn on stage.” We are obsessed with the way she handled this! Can Miley and Pete please host all of the NYE shows from now on? !
