Miley Cyrus joined the party on Saturday night as Elon Musk celebrated his Saturday Night Live hosting debut with girlfriend Grimes.
The controversial business mogul has divided fans after becoming the last high profile figure to take the helm of the longtime show on May 8.
But the mixed opinion was cast aside as Musk, 49, partied in the early hours with Grimes – real name Claire Boucher – and SNL co-star Miley in New York City.

Sporting a garish striped sweater with fringed sleeves and an oversized off-the-shoulder silhouette, Miley, 28, made sure to grab attention while making her way into a local nightclub.
The singer added to her look with cropped pants, while stylish black leather boots and a matching handbag complete things.
In accordance with current health and safety guidelines, she protected her face behind a protective mask as she crossed the sidewalk with a bodyguard.

Meanwhile, the heavily tattooed 33-year-old Grimes looked distinctively odd in a patterned bodysuit and plaid skirt as she accompanied Musk into the room.
She completed her look with a pair of chunky buckle boots, while a distinctive band kept her center hair in place.
Conversely, Musk opted for a sober bomber jacket and jeans as he celebrated his SNL appearance.

Earlier in the evening, Musk and Miley appeared in a Mars-themed SNL skit, starring Pete Davidson fan-favorite character Chad.
The snippet took place on a SpaceX station on Mars in the supposed near future, when a human colony ran into trouble.
Musk, of course, is the founder, CEO, CTO, and chief designer of SpaceX.
Date: Grimes was seen climbing into the back of a car after partying in New York City until 6 a.m.
The decision to bring in Tesla CEO and “ Technoking ” Elon Musk to host the NBC sketch show was seen as a risky bet by creator Lorne Michaels to raise ratings and broaden audiences.
For the first time in SNL’s 46-year history, the episode featuring Musk was broadcast live internationally on YouTube to more than 100 countries. The stream was not available to US viewers.
“SNL is a global phenomenon and this livestream marks the first time audiences around the world will see the show simultaneously with the United States,” Frances Berwick, president of NBCU Entertainment Networks, said in a statement.

“It’s incredibly exciting to create this global event with host Elon Musk and musical guest Miley Cyrus,” he added.
Saturday’s episode of the show quickly became one of the most anticipated of all time, due to the decision to name the controversial Tesla boss as the host for the evening.
The move sparked an instant reaction from her longtime cast members when it surfaced last month, with many searches at Musk on social media.

Even hours before the live show, tensions were still boiling with sources claiming some of the cast were “ getting a little too fat for their panties. ”
Musk’s girlfriend Grimes also hinted that she would join him and Miley in an Instagram post where she told fans, ‘Tune in to SNL tonight and watch me try to act ”.
Grimes appeared as Princess Peach for the Mario trial.
