Miley Cyrus says she won’t be touring anytime soon, and shared a statement explaining the reasoning behind his decision.
The statement comes after Cyrus recently spoke to British Vogue and explained that she wasn’t going on a big tour for her latest album, “Endless Summer Vacation.”
She then took to social media to explain her thoughts, and dispel any sort of misinterpretation regarding her comments about how she feels about her fans.
“Just to be clear, I feel connected to my fans NOW more than ever. When I win, WE win. Even though I don’t see them face to face every night at a concert, my fans are deep in my heart,” she wrote.
“I am constantly creating and innovating new ways that I can stay connected to the audience I love, without sacrificing my own essentials.
“Playing for YOU was one of the best days of my life and we will continue this journey together as we have for the past two decades. It has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans and everything to do with the fact that I just don’t want to get ready in a locker room. This is the reality of life on the road.
“These looks I shot don’t travel well. Archival looks don’t bend. I don’t want to sleep on a moving bus. It’s not the best for me in right now, and if you’ve followed my career, you know I’m always changing and how I feel about it might too. I love you forever, I’m just on my endless summer vacation.
Cyrus prefers smaller, more intimate spaces
During her recent chat with British Vogue, Cyrus clarified that she prefers to perform in front of smaller, more intimate spaces rather than large arenas.
“It’s been a minute” Cyrus said when she started talking about touring. “After the last [headline arena] show that i have done [in 2014], I took it more as a question.
“And I can’t. Not only I can’t, because I can’t, it’s your ability, but it’s my desire. Do I want to live my life for the pleasure or fulfillment of someone other than my own?
“Like singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing I like. There’s no connection. There is no security. It’s not natural either. It’s so isolating because if you’re in front of 100,000 people, you’re alone.
