Singer-actress Miley Cyrus bought a house in Hidden Hills for just over $ 4.95 million in an off-market transaction.
The singer of “Wrecking Ball” used a trust to facilitate the transaction, which was finalized in late June, according to property records. The seller was Steven Baio, the brother of actor Scott Baio.
The traditional style house was built in 1957, but has recently been renovated and enlarged. Wood floors with wide planks, vaulted ceilings and a new look kitchen are among the hallmarks of the note. A chic wet bar near the entrance is decorated with Mercury glass.
A home theater with a snack bar, a formal lounge and dining room, a family room, six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms are also found on approximately 6,000 square feet of living space.
Outside on the 1.18 acre site are a sunken dining room, a barbecue pavilion and a lagoon-style pool. A fence of white stakes surrounds a grassy hill at the back.
The building was most recently listed last summer at $ 5.099 million. Several files from the Announcement Service indicate that it was rented last fall for $ 39,000 per month.
Cyrus has a history with the area, having sold another home in the guarded equestrian community two years ago for $ 5 million, The Times previously reported.
Daughter of musician Billy Ray Cyrus, Cyrus made a name for himself very early as a child star of Disney’s “Hannah Montana”. As a singer, the 27-year-old released six studio albums, most recently “Younger Now” in 2017. Her seventh album, “She is Miley Cyrus”, is expected to be released later this year.
