Mikel Arteta has steered Arsenal away from any suggestion they will make a shock offer for Harry Kane.
It was reported on Monday night that Kane had asked to leave Spurs, with Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea being considered favorites to land him.
However, many other clubs are said to be interested in the prolific 27-year-old goalscorer.
He would even be appreciated by his rivals, however, a move to North London to the Gunners this summer seems impossible – even though he has been affiliated with them in the past.
And Arteta has almost confirmed that there won’t be a massive twist in the developing transfer saga when it comes to an end.
“I don’t know if Harry Kane is leaving Spurs!” Arteta told talkSPORT.
“It’s too much if, if he wants to leave, he will try to make the best decision for himself.
However, Arteta has admitted that Arsenal have plans in place for the next transfer window.
“If I have to answer all the questions about every possible transfer, we’ll be sitting here for hours,” he added.
“What I can say is we know what we want to do and we have a plan to put it in place.
“There are a lot of decisions to be made because a lot of players will come back from their loans and then we’ll see.”
