The hour is getting late. Democrats on Tuesday will vote in 14 states to choose a presidential candidate – and if you believe the polls, we may be headed for disaster. Not just for the party, but for the United States of America.
We simply cannot afford to name Senator Bernie Sanders, an arrogant and pointing finger socialist whose call to revolution is a $ 60 trillion fantasy – exactly what America does not need.
I support Michael Bloomberg as President and urge you to do the same. He and he alone can provide the leadership we need to come together and end the toxic civil war that is tearing our nation apart.
This was clearly explained during Tuesday’s debate in South Carolina. With one exception, the Democratic presidential candidates shouted, intimidated and made their way through two embarrassing hours.
12 years of experience
Mike Bloomberg – an accomplished businessman who ruled New York City for twelve years – was the only person on this scene to have the courage to tell the truth. The only adult in the room. When asked a question, he answered it directly, unlike the other candidates who returned to their original talking points and kept them and said no more.
There were four people on this scene – Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar – who collectively served for more than eight decades as American elected officials, defining national policy. If they believed that something was wrong with America – and there is no doubt that America needs to tweak to make things more equal – why did they not do it? Given their failure to accomplish this, why should we trust them now – as opposed to a candidate like Mike who saw problems in New York and found ways to solve them?
He was the only candidate in Tuesday’s debate, for example, who described what it takes to revitalize failed public school systems across the country – and that’s because he did it in the largest city of the country. Mike enriched school programs that worked, got rid of ineffective teachers, and funded classrooms that met the needs of each student.
He was the only candidate to give an honest and straightforward answer to a question about marijuana, highlighting scientific evidence that it could harm adolescent brain development.
Above all, he made it clear that the Democrats’ number one task is to defeat the President – not to destroy each other.
I do not remember an election in my life when so many issues were at stake. My father had a favorite saying, which I often repeat in my courtroom, when it is clear that someone don’t tell the truth and try to shoot quickly: “Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining”, he ‘I say. Well, this is my reaction to Bernie Sanders’ hollow and hectoric call for a socialist revolution that will magically remove all of our problems. It’s a joke.
Put us on the right track
You know me as outspoken. I’m no different on the bench than on – and I say it like my family, my friends, my colleagues. In the midst of all the toxic anger boiling in our nation, Mike Bloomberg is the only man who can put us back on track and reduce noise. It will restore confidence in our institutions, rekindle respect for American values and recruit extraordinarily talented people to revitalize a government that has been systematically dismantled in the past three years.
Certainly, he may not be the most practiced debater. He does not make speeches for a living, unlike the political insiders who run against him. But as an intelligent and accomplished manager, he is second to none.
The New York Times said Mike “will come down as one of the grMost Eaten Mayors in New York History. ” Bloomberg has brought back a city of 8 million people from the depths of September 11. It boosted economic growth which led to 400,000 new jobs. Under his leadership, the number of New Yorkers without health insurance fell by almost 40% from 2001 to 2013. It lowered crime to record levels, launched ambitious public health initiatives and helped raise air quality in New York to the highest level in 50 years.
As a philanthropist, Mike has put his money where it is – by supporting courageous programs to combat gun violence, fight climate change, fund initiatives for women’s health, education and the arts, and increase the jobs and wealth of people of color.

Democrats are rethinking the 2020 nomination race. It’s time to let passions dominate.
Equally important, he has personal funds to help us take back the White House. But before he can do it, he has to stop Bernie Sanders on his trail. And that is why I am asking for your support.
It is not surprising that other candidates feel threatened by Mike. Last weekend, Elizabeth Warren insulted Bloomberg’s personal appearance. What a presidential! The last time I watched, she was fourth in the Nevada caucus.
It is time for the Democrats to wake up. I do not believe that America will elect a socialist who wants to take your health care away from you and replace it with a $ 30 trillion plan that would never go through a divided Congress.
I do not believe that the people of goodwill who voted for the president last time, but who may choose differently in November, will support a man who does not understand that they too must be part of a winning coalition.
We have had enough anger and division. Had finished. America needs a leader capable of restoring the decency that has made us the envy of the world and making things happen. Mike Bloomberg is that man, and your votes can put him in the White House. But the hour is late. I want peace in our great nation – and you too.
