Microsoft Teams now supports webinars on iPhone and iPad – Windows Central

Microsoft Teams for iOS recently received a major update. The update provides the ability to join webinars from iPhone and iPad. It also lets you set all meetings as easy-to-share online meetings and adds automatic suggestions and top bets to the app’s search bar.

Webinars are large, interactive meetings that can accommodate up to 1,000 people. If you need more people, you can switch to a read-only broadcast that allows up to 10,000 people to view it at the same time. Due to the current global pandemic, Microsoft has increased the limit for read-only broadcasts to 20,000.

Support for webinars only rolled out to desktops last month, so users of iOS devices didn’t have to wait long to use them.

Here’s all the new stuff, as found in the Teams App Store list:

  • Participants join webinars from their phone or tablet
  • Get automatic suggestions and best results when you enter your search terms
  • All meetings (even appointments) are automatically online meetings so you can quickly share a link to the meeting

The improved search experience adds automatic suggestions and top results as you type. This should speed up the search process and help you find frequently searched items and content.
