Microsoft has started rolling out a new update for the Microsoft Store on Windows 11. Insiders testing preview builds of Windows from the Dev channel can download build 22207.1401.X with two notable changes: screen in search results and the ability to install games directly from the Dev channel. Microsoft store.
Here is the full changelog for the latest Microsoft Store update:
- Screenshots in search results. You can now display screenshots in search results to improve your browsing experience. The Microsoft Store will only show the first screenshot, with no option to check other screenshots or videos without opening the listing first.
- Install games directly from the Microsoft Store app. One of the headaches of the Microsoft Store (stable version) is the need to switch to the Xbox app to install a specific game. Microsoft has finally solved this problem, allowing users to install PC games more easily and with fewer clicks.
These aren’t the only improvements the Microsoft Store has received recently. A few days ago, the developers revealed that they had fixed a confusing issue where the Marketplace was not showing more than 2,000 reviews for a game or app. Additionally, the store now features improved price tags and a better ability to discover game editions.
