Microsoft seems to agree with all the leaks claiming that GTA 6 will be released in 2024.
Gaming insider Tom Henderson recently shared a report on Twitter that explains how a rumored release date for the next GTA title is tucked away in an official Microsoft document. The publicly available document is the company’s response to the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) investigation into its acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Here is what part of the document says:
“The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to release in 2024.”
The document contains 111 pages, explaining the overall growth of the gaming market as well as definitions of gaming practices and terms.
It’s important to note that Microsoft cited leaks from Tech Radar as the reason for its Grand Theft Auto 6 prediction.
Another leaker claims GTA 6 could be delayed until 2025, fans react to Microsoft document
Another leaker, with the Twitter handle @LegacyKillaHD, recently claimed that the release date for the next GTA game could be delayed until 2025. He said:
“GTA 6 will probably be revealed in the near future with an expected release date of 2024…which might end up being pushed back to 2025 because that’s Rockstar lol”
Nonetheless, many GTA fans have taken to Twitter to react to Microsoft’s statement regarding the release date of Grand Theft Auto 6. Here are some of the reactions:
A 2024 release date for GTA 6 is not surprising. There are many rumors that the game will be announced or teased to some extent this year or in the first quarter of 2023.
Rockstar Games has not confirmed any of these reports. The company hasn’t shared any information about the upcoming game since releasing an official statement about it last September.
Rockstar Games released the statement after never-before-seen footage of Grand Theft Auto 6 leaked in September this year. Here is what he said:
“We’ll update everyone soon and of course we’ll properly introduce you to this next game when it’s ready. We want to thank everyone for their continued support through the situation.”
Ever since the statement was released, Grand Theft Auto fans have been trying to find new information about GTA 6 all over the internet. However, as Microsoft’s latest report suggests, the game may not be announced anytime soon and gamers may have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on it.
