QPR expect Michael Beale to leave and join Scottish Premiership giants Rangers as their new manager.
Hoops boss Beale, a former assistant to Steven Gerrard at Ibrox, has emerged as a Rangers target to replace the sacked Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

And have identified Beale as their main target to replace the Dutchman
QPR accepted a request from Wolves to speak with Beale earlier this season, but he ultimately rejected their advances.
But now the 42-year-old could leave Loftus Road and return to Scottish football.
Rangers are in the hunt for a new manager after sacking Van Bronckhorst with the Gers nine points off the top of the Scottish Premiership and leaving the Champions League as statistically the worst side to ever play in the competition.
Beale’s stock is high at the moment having made a strong start to life as QPR manager, taking them to the top of the table in October.
They are winless in their last five league matches but are still in the hunt for promotion as they find themselves in seventh place.
Beale’s big break from football saw him become a part-time youth coach at Chelsea.
He then moved to Liverpool, where he became manager of the Under-16 team and then the Under-23 team.

In this role, he crossed paths with Steven Gerrard, whom he followed to Rangers in May 2018.
He was Gerrard’s assistant when Rangers became Scottish champions for the 55th time, robbing Celtic of a tenth league title in a row.
Beale followed Gerrard to Aston Villa in November 2021 as a number 2, before moving into management and taking the QPR job last summer.
An impressive start to the campaign saw Wolves make an approach, but Beale rejected their advances, citing his “integrity and loyalty” as the reason for turning down the job.
