Hamilton and Verstappen controversially collided
Verstappen was ordered to give back the place to Hamilton, but the pair then collided as the championship leader slowed down ahead of their rivals.
Red Bull argued that they were trying to surrender the place, but Mercedes apparently didn’t realize it, hence the minor crash.
Shortly after the incident, Hamilton: “He just tested me under braking. I just hit him, man, the wing is broken.
“He tested me on the brakes. I didn’t know what was going on. It was just dangerous driving.
“This guy is fucking crazy.”

There was drama from start to finish in the race, which started with the downfall of Mick Schumacher
Verstappen was given a five-second penalty for initially gaining the advantage by cutting the turn, with the incident in which Hamilton encountered him being investigated after the race.
Wolff stormed into the pit lane and eventually Verstappen relinquished the position with Hamilton taking the lead on lap 43.
The Briton went on to win the Grand Prix, which was held for the first time in Jeddah.
“It was pretty hectic,” Verstappen said after the race.
“There’s a lot going on that I don’t quite agree with but that’s how I tried on the right track to give it my all. However, I was still second.
Asked about the incident with Hamilton, he said: “I slowed down, I wanted to let him pass, I was on the right but he didn’t want to overtake and then we touched. I don’t really understand what happened there.
