The men’s basketball team never trailed and received 40 points off the bench to record an 89-52 CUNYAC home victory over the Brooklyn College Bulldogs on Wednesday night.
The Bearcats won their 12th straight CUNYAC game by shooting 52 percent (33-for-63) from the field, including 11 three-pointers, to improve to 2-0 in the early-season conference schedule.
The entire bench witnessed the action as the Bearcats totaled 29 assists with their 33 made shots tonight. They also outscored the Bulldogs 41-18 in the second half.
Devin Nicholson led four players in double-digit scoring with 23 points, while Akil Vaughn had 17 (7 for 7 fg), Gerard Nicholson 12 (5 for 8 fg) and Sayeed Osario (4 for 8) also had 12.
Malik Dale led the visitors with 13 points.
