Fans rage after rapper Megan Thee Stallion pulled out of Festival X just days before she was scheduled to headline the show
Megan thee Stallion left thousands of fans disappointed after pulling out of Festival X in Australia days before her scheduled appearance.
The American rapper, 27, was due to perform her first series of concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide, which were canceled at the last hour.
The organizers announced on Wednesday via social networks that she was no longer playing while confirming that she would not be replaced by another artist.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Megan Thee Stallion will not be able to travel to Australia to perform at Festival X,” the Festival X team said in a statement.
“Although our goal is to present the best experience for the fans, despite our best efforts, it will not be possible to find a replacement in such a short time.”
Calvin Harris and American rapper Don Toliver will play longer gigs instead.

Unhappy with the news, fans took to social media to express their anger at the news and the organizers of Festival X.
“I hope Megan’s cancellation of Festival X was a bad joke. Like a really bad joke,” one shouted.
“Megan didn’t even come to perform at Festival X in Sydney. There’s no point in me going anymore,’ tweeted another.

A third said he was devastated to hear the news at the last minute, having planned to travel to another city to see the American rapper.
“I still can’t believe I’m traveling to the Gold Coast for Megan and she won’t be there. I f**king hate Festival X. You bastards,” they wrote.
Others compared the upcoming concert series to the cursed Fyre Festival and said it was alarming that organizers had disabled Instagram comments on their posts.
