Meanwhile, Lanez was caught on camera leaving Los Angeles court on Monday, which marked the start of his felony assault trial in connection with allegations he shot her following a party at Kylie Jenner in July 2020.
Los Angeles Police Department Detective Ryan Stogner told a December 2021 hearing that Megan told him Lanez shouted “Dance, b****” before discharging his gun during the incident, CBS News previously reported.
Megan said she was “bleeding profusely” from her feet and collapsed and crawled to the driveway of a nearby residence, Stogner told the court. Megan said Lanez, whose full name is Daystar Peterson, ‘hugely apologized for what he did’ and ‘offered him money’ for his silence on the incident, the detective said. .

When Megan and a friend were arrested following the incident, the detective said Megan told law enforcement and medical personnel that her injuries were the result of broken glass and not a blow of fire.
The detective told the court that Megan told him she was ‘extremely scared and embarrassed’ and ‘frightened [Lanez] was gonna get in trouble” and potentially fired when she admitted Lanez shot her.
Stogner said that after undergoing surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Megan continues to have bullet fragments lodged in her feet and continues to receive physical therapy and has walking issues as a result of the shooting .

She first signed with 1501 Entertainment in 2018, although she started the hashtag #FreeTheeSallion in March 2020 to let fans know about her issues with the record label.
