They say cats have nine lines, and a Chicago feline doesn’t even drop one. A very brave furball recently escaped an apartment fire by taking shelter through a fifth floor window. Better yet, the black cat’s daring gesture was filmed by Chicago firefighters.

In the video, smoke rises and debris falls from broken windows on the upper floors of an apartment building. Then, in one of the windows on the right side of the screen, an inky cat emerges and gracefully jumps to the ground. He lands on all fours on the grass, then simply walks away.
“He went under my car and hid until she felt better after a few minutes and got out and tried to climb the wall to get in,” the spokesman said. fire department, Larry Langford. The cat was not injured (nor any human).
We’re surprised the fire department didn’t try to recruit the cat. Imagine if the smoke jumpers had moves like this!
