Insider claims the McLaren 750S will debut in April as a replacement for the 720S, according to Automotive News. The new model will allegedly use a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 developing 740 horsepower (552 kilowatts), instead of the vehicle’s predecessor’s 710 horsepower (529 kW).
“It’s not as extreme as the 765, but it’s a bit more aggressive than the 720,” the source said of the 750S’ styling. We will allegedly see a teaser for the new model in late February.

The cabin would have a floating shelf infotainment screen with styling similar to that of the Artura. Switches to change the suspension and drive modes would be on the instrument cluster bezel.
At product launch, the coupe and convertible variants will debut at the same time, rather than staggering their unveiling at different times. McLaren won’t be building a long-tail variant, according to this person. Prices would start around $342,000.
Motor1.com contacted McLaren to confirm this information. “McLaren does not speculate or comment on future product,” a spokesperson told us.
McLaren President of the Americas Nicolas Brown gave some hints about the 750S in January. He called it “a 720 refinement” and said, “It’s not an all-new next-gen vehicle.” Although it has yet to debut, Brown said the 750S is already sold out through the end of 2024.
McLaren recently announced a partnership with Lockheed Martin Skunk Works. The automaker wants to adapt the aerospace company’s design software to shape future supercars. It is not clear if the 750S could be among the vehicles benefiting from this collaboration
Beyond the 750S, there are persistent rumors of McLaren building an electric SUV. The company says it’s under consideration, but there’s no final decision yet. A sedan could also be in the cards.
McLaren also reportedly signed a memorandum of understanding with BMW last year to collaborate on electric vehicle architecture specifically for sports cars. Unfortunately, there are no further details on what they are planning or when products using this platform might arrive.
