Maya Jama reveals she’s in Majorca as she shares snaps from the island’s countryside before starting work on new series of Love Island

Maya Jama revealed she had landed in Majorca on Instagram on Sunday ahead of the new series of Love Island.

The ITV presenter, 29, shared a video from her car as she headed to the villa ahead of the hit dating show kicking off next week.

Maya uploaded the video to her 3.1 million followers, showing the sun blazing over the Mallorcan countryside.

The twelfth series of Love Island, Maya’s fourth, airs in 8 days, and rumors of contestants have already emerged.

It was revealed earlier in May that Grace Jackson, already followed by Molly-Mae Hague and Conor McGregor, would take part.

On Friday it was reported that Love Island had signed stunning Welsh model Nicole Samuel – and former star Scott van-der-Sluis is already a fan.

Non-league footballer Ronnie Vint, who was best man at Love Island alum Olivia Attwood’s wedding, will also be in attendance.

On Tuesday, news broke that Patsy Field, born with a disability called Erb’s palsy, was joining the cast.

Earlier in May, Maya attended the Buckingham Palace Garden Party where she joked with King Charles.

The TV host said: “Nice to meet you. Well, I met you before, a long time ago.

About something with the Prince’s Trust and I touched you. I wasn’t supposed to do it. This time I won’t.

The Royal then asked him: “How are you?”

“I host Love Island. But I don’t know if you watch that. It’s like a reality TV show. This is what I do,” Maya said.

The first teaser for the new series was released in late April and featured Maya with a flamethrower, among other things.

Bosses hope series 12 will attract significantly more viewers than All Stars which, although it got off to a promising start, ended up being the least-watched series since the show’s debut in 2015.

Love Island returns to ITV2 and ITVX on June 3 at 9pm.
