American Max Homa won the Farmers Insurance Open after a 66-under par finish.
Homa, who was five shots off the lead going into the fourth round, birdied seven and bogeyed as he finished 13 under at Torrey Pines in San Diego.
The 32-year-old won with two shots from Keegan Bradley, who also shot a 66, and three from Collin Morikawa (69).
Third-round leader Sam Ryder shot a 75 to drop to nine under.
“Obviously there’s a ton of great players. That board was stacked. But I just had to know that obviously it’s a tough golf course,” Homa said.
“Winning takes a lot of luck, but it just takes, I think, a lot of patience and knowing that, especially in those last few rounds, 18 holes is a marathon and there’s a lot going on.”
Spaniard Jon Rahm started the final day two shots off the lead and, after a par 74 two-over in the final round, finished with eight under.
“I had a lot of bad breaks,” Rahm said. “Every time I was in the hard, I was just dead as can be.
He added: “I can guarantee you one thing, if you’re in the fairway you won’t get bad breaks. You just have to play better.”
