Jamie O’Hara told talkSPORT that he was “sick and tired” of Jose Mourinho’s apology for Tottenham’s appalling form and thought choppy manager Mauricio Pochettino could make a shock comeback to the club.
The former midfielder has defended Mourinho in the past, but admits he is now beginning to question the appointment of Special One after the FA Cup Spurs’ shocking exit.
North London club season took another turn for the worse on Wednesday night as they were knocked out of the cup by relegation wrestlers Norwich on penalties in front of their home fans – Tottenham’s fourth straight loss in all competitions.
It was another poor performance from Tottenham, who is suffering from a crisis of confidence and simply cannot seem to convert his scoring chances.
After the match, Mourinho complained about his team’s physical shape, Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn both asking to be replaced due to fatigue, and admitted that he was “ really worried ” about playing again in the Premier League against Burnley in just two days. ‘ time.
But at Alan Brazil’s sports breakfast, O’Hara said the manager was not doing what he was paid for: getting the most out of his players.

“I’m a little sick and tired of the apologies,” said the former Tottenham man.
“I supported him on the fact that he lost Harry Kane and Heung-min Son and that he is trying to find a way to win and that hasn’t happened yet.
“But the negativity and the mentality of,” we all feel sorry for us and we have injuries, Moura wants to break away and Bergwijn wants to break away, let’s all be sorry for Tottenham “- NO!
“Come on! You have to get results and you have to get them back, you still have a team good enough to beat Norwich and get results.
“Now there are no more excuses for Mourinho.
“He was brought in to win a trophy, but is eliminated by Norwich in the FA Cup – it really puts the season in perspective with where we are going.
“I don’t think they’re going to pass against RB Leipzig [in the Champions League round-of-16] either, the season could therefore be finished next week.
“He gets a lot of money and he has to be able to find results.
“There is always a very good team of players at Tottenham and you have to find a way to take them over and give them the confidence to believe they can go on to win games.”
Then, when talkSPORT host Alan Brazil speculated that the club could bring Pochettino back in place of Mourinho, O’Hara replied, “Yeah, why not?
“Pochettino could come back, it has already been done.
“He doesn’t have a job and he’s still loved by Spurs fans, so it could potentially happen.”
Meanwhile, it seems that some of the Tottenham supporters are also losing patience with their manager.
Earlier this week, two Spurs fans clashed live to see if Mourinho is the right candidate for the London club.
And, speaking at Wednesday Night’s Sports Bar, Jeff from White Hart Lane, said, “I think it’s time for Mourinho to leave Tottenham Hotspur.
“Why was it used in the first place?” I have no idea!
“He is a very anti-football manager and since the beginning of the year, the Spurs have been playing this horrible and negative football with which Mourinho has persisted since his beginnings at Chelsea.
“It’s not Spurs style, it’s not their way of playing!
“They did not deserve to win the game tonight and I am absolutely disgusted with the way it is ruining Tottenham.”
