A relative of Matty Healy came to his defense.
While fans speculated that several of Taylor Swift’s songs from her brand new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” referenced her brief romance with Healy — including a song called “The Smallest Man” — her aunt Debbie Dedes argued that there was much more to say. image than what Swift shared.
“Nothing surprises him anymore,” she told the Daily Mail on Saturday. “He won’t be surprised by the song. He and she know what happened.
Dedes, who is the sister of Healy’s mother, Denise Welch, added: “As his nephew, we know a little more about what happened than what the press has said. »
She also said he was “very happy” with his current girlfriend, model Gabbriette Bechtel.

In “The Smallest Man,” Swift also sang about a person trying to “buy pills from a friend of friends.” The 35-year-old musician has spoken openly about his substance abuse issues.
The “smallest man” may also refer to Healy’s height. He already complained that he is “sick to death” of people speculating about his height, even though he is 5 feet 10 inches tall.

“You left your typewriter at my house / Straight from the tortured poets department / I think there are some things I never say / Like, ‘Who uses typewriters anyway?’ » Quick questions in the song.
When the billionaire pop star and Healy split last June, a source told Entertainment Tonight that they were both “extremely busy” and “not really compatible with each other.”
Healy was first linked to Bechtel last September when they were seen locking lips during a PDA-filled walk around New York City.
In November, Healy and the Nasty Cherry musician denied engagement rumors.
Meanwhile, Swift has since moved on with NFL star Travis Kelce, with whom she went public last September.
