Mattel has released a special limited edition Barbie doll, inspired by the one and only Elton John.
The doll was created to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Elton John’s record breaking performance at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
On October 25-26, 1975, Elton sold the stadium for two days, which drew 100,000 fans and set the record for the busiest solo concert.
Although Elton wore a reimagined version of the LA Dodgers baseball uniform at the time, Barbie is celebrating the birthday on John’s more flamboyant side, with a purple bowler, a colorful bomber jacket, and iconic D-shaped glasses. ‘star.
