MasterChef star Reynold Poernomo was silent on social media after his shocking messages on the homophobic forum were exposed last week.
The 26-year-old “ king of desserts ” hasn’t posted or left a comment on Instagram for six days, and his last activity was on Friday.
On the same day, Daily Mail Australia revealed that Reynold had posted offensive messages on an online bodybuilding forum calling homosexuals “monsters” and “mentally ill”.

Last Friday, Reynold published an article on MasterChef with his co-stars Poh Ling Yeow, Brendan Pang, Jess Liemantara and Khanh Ong.
Reynold suggested in his forum posts that homosexuals should be “captured and put on an island.”
The chef made homophobic statements on bodybuilding.com in 2014, just a few months before breaking out on the screens of season seven of MasterChef Australia.

Under a thread titled “ First gay couple featured on Disney Channel. Do you agree with them? Reynold – using the profile name “Reyreyy” – offered a shocking answer.
“ I wish the world would make a united decision where they would capture all of the homosexuals and put them on a remote island full of gays, that way the straight people (the people) would be happy and the monsters could go on and get f ** , ” wrote the 20-year-old.
This comment was followed by another on a thread entitled: “Is homosexuality a mental illness?”
“Yes, end of the thread,” replied Reynold.
In a statement to Daily Mail Australia via Channel Ten, Reynold said that he was “deeply ashamed” of the comments now and that he was “not the person I was at the time”.

“I would like to offer my sincere and sincere apologies for the comments I made in 2014. I am ashamed of these comments and I deeply regret them,” he said.
“At the time these comments were made, I was a very immature, lucid and insular 20 year old boy. I have grown and matured a lot over the past six years. I am not the person I was at the time.
“I have many friends and colleagues who are part of the LGBTIQ + community. I support them wholeheartedly and I love them deeply. I am truly sorry and apologize for any infraction or injury I have caused. ”
Brendan Pang, Khanh Ong, Reece Hignall and Courtney Roulston – who are currently candidates for the show – have all already been open about their sexuality.
Khanh also wore t-shirts in each episode promoting the “ you are loved ” message promoted by the LGBTQI youth charity, Minus18.
Reynold’s messages arrived just a day after producing what the judges called “the best dish ever” and immunized against elimination.
He also delighted viewers by telling a heartbreaking story about the first days after his family emigrated to Australia from Indonesia when he was a youngster.
