Chelsea star Mason Mount’s future at the club is up in the air following failed talks over a new deal.
The 24-year-old has been a key player for the Blues since breaking into the first team in 2019.

Mount’s current contract at Chelsea expires in 2024
His current contract at Stamford Bridge expires next summer and he has reportedly been in talks over a new deal for some time now.
However, it doesn’t seem like a deal between him and the club is in sight yet.
The Daily Mail have reported that Chelsea and Mount are some distance away in negotiations.
Reports from November emerged that the Cobham academy graduate had rejected a new £200,000-a-week contract at the club.
Mount is said to be keen to ‘triple’ his current deal which is worth £80,000 a week.
However, Chelsea are believed to be offering him significantly less than the contracts of their top earners such as Raheem Sterling.

Despite the current state of those talks, negotiations are expected to resume.
Mount has struggled so far this season, picking up just three goals and six assists in all competitions.
That’s a far cry from his form in the previous campaign which saw him acquire 29 goal contributions for the club.
Chelsea spent nearly £300m in the January transfer window on eight new signings.
Mount could soon compete for a starting spot in the squad, especially with the £106.8m arrival of fellow midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
Although Mount’s future is unclear, one thing is certain and that is that the Blues need to improve significantly in the remainder of the season as they sit ninth in the Premier League table.
