Mason Mount believes Chelsea have the squad capable of winning Premier League and Champions League titles.
The 22-year-old won several trophies during his academy days at Cobham, but has yet to win his first first-team trophy.
Chelsea have moved closer after reaching the FA Cup final last season to fall at the final hurdle against Arsenal in August at Wembley.
Mount doesn’t just fail to win trophies and aims high as he strives for national and European success.
“Certainly these are all of our goals and I feel like I won’t be really happy until we get there,” Mount told the Daily Mail.
“We have to set our goals on this vision of wanting to win Premier Leagues, wanting to win trophies, wanting to win the Champions League.
“I feel that with the group that we have, we can certainly do it. We are very keen to reach it, very motivated. Off, to have little discussions here and there and [ask]; “What does victory really look like at the highest level?” It really helps us. We want to achieve this and especially in a big club where we have all been there. “
Chelsea are unlikely to win the Premier League this season with a top four battle, the most realistic goal for the Blues.
Their European adventure is still ongoing after their first leg victory against Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are unbeaten and still in the FA Cup as a quarter-final match against Sheffield United awaits them later this month.
Mount’s dream of landing silverware with Chelsea’s first team could be realized this season. It’s a question of when, not if.
