The Marvel Cinematic Universe Adds New Movies At A Breakneck Rate With Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings in theaters now. While most Marvel fans are speculating on where the new Multiverse saga will go, Marvel Studios has revealed a new poster for the Infinity Saga collection on Disney +.
However, the new design is getting a mixed reaction from fans online due to the inclusion of Marvel superheroes and the absence of the Avengers.

The Infinity Saga is the name of the first 23 MCU movies that started with Marvel Studios’ Iron Man (2008). 20 of those Marvel movies are brought together under the new banner on Disney +. In particular, it is missing The Incredible Hulk (2008), Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), which are not available as the rights are held by Universal Pictures and Sony Pictures respectively.
Maybe that’s why Marvel Studios left out Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Bruce Banner AKA the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in the new stance. But these aren’t the only ones Marvel Studios seems to have mistakenly forgotten to include.

And while there are so many characters that it would have been impossible to include them all, Marvel fans on Twitter were quick to point out that Shuri (Letitia Wright) of Black Panther (2018) is highlighted despite being only a secondary character in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Purushottam Bhusal shared his opinion on Twitter focusing on how Shuri takes up more space than the first Avenger himself Captain America:

Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Chris Evans) is still featured on the posture. However, other fans bemoan the lack of Scott Lang AKA Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) who appeared in three Marvel films before providing Tony Stark AKA Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) with the final clue to resolve the journey in time in Avengers: Endgame.
Maybe it’s just too small for us to see?

The poster does not include another of the original six Avengers from The Avengers (2012) leaving out Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) who will be getting his own Marvel Original Series on Disney + on November 24, 2021.
But more evident is the fact that no member of the Guardians of the Galaxy has been selected. There is no image of Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Groot (Vin Diesel), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) or Drax (Dave Bautista) in sight.
Elliot Duby pointed this out by saying “Where the hell are the Guardians of the Galaxy?” with ArthurLCK joking that “Drax is in there, he’s just invisible”

Some fans suspect that Shuri’s prominence in the poster is a sign of his future importance. Letitia Wright is currently filming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (July 8, 2022), which will continue without T’Challa AKA Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), who appeared on the poster. Rumors suggest that Shuri could become the next Black Panther like she did in Marvel Comics.
But one of those not included was Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) who was protecting an Infinity Stone – the Time Stone contained inside Agamotto’s eye. Doctor Strange will have a major role to play in the new Marvel Cinematic Multiverse in both Spider-Man: No Path Home (December 17, 2021) and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (March 25, 2022).

Other fans are upset that Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) is also featured because she was such a late addition to the Marvel Universe and has divided fans. Rumym8 said:

The new Infinity Saga poster shows that Shuri is available on the mobile version of the Disney + app, but the banner on other devices features the same characters as the mobile poster: Natasha Romanoff AKA Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Vision ( Paul Bettany), Wanda Maximoff AKA Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet (Josh Brolin), Sam Wilson AKA Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth). However, Shuri was cut.
