Martin Keown slammed Jose Mourinho after the Tottenham manager hit his team on Instagram.
The Spurs boss posted on social media after his side were beaten 1-0 by Antwerp in the Europa League.
It was a lackluster performance from the north London club and Mourinho let the world know he was unhappy.
He wrote: “Bad performance deserves bad results. I hope everyone on this bus is as upset as I am. Tomorrow, training at 11 a.m.
Keown was a BT Sport expert tonight and said the Tottenham manager shouldn’t be posting such things.
He said: “I’m not happy that Mourinho is so public. Save it for the locker room.
“Is this how we’re going to communicate (on Instagram)? If you want to talk to me, talk to my face. Do not post. “
“Keep it at home, it’s a bit childish what you hear. Players have to keep yelling, but he can say whatever he wants publicly. I prefer to keep it in the locker room. I am not sure it is healthy.
Mourinho was clearly unhappy with his squad’s display and sacked four players at half-time, but that still wasn’t enough to make a difference.
Dele Alli was one of the players removed at the break but Mourinho refused to single out anyone.
Addressing the press, he said: “I don’t want to analyze individually. It is fair to say that players with poor performance influence the team but also a team influences individual performance.
“It’s not for me to individualize and bring a few names to the table. You can do it yourself. You always tell me “why this player isn’t playing, why this player isn’t playing” – maybe you don’t ask me that for a few weeks because you have the answer.
“You know which is our best team. I always like to think that the players deserve an opportunity. We have a great team with a lot of good players.
“It’s my responsibility to give them opportunities, but it’s also their opportunity to seize the chance with both hands and ask for more. Tonight shows that my future choices will be very easy.
