Married to First Sight ‘nasty’ Tamara Djordjevic mocks haters ahead of season premiere: ‘I don’t need people’s validation to be happy with who I am’

Married At First Sight returns to television on Monday and Tamara Djordjevic is already proving to be one of the most talked about brides to date.

And while fans were quick to brand this year’s 29-year-old the villain, the operations manager revealed she’s not worried about what people think of her.

“I don’t worry about how viewers will respond to me because I don’t need people’s validation to be happy with who I am,” she told New Idea on Monday.

“I’m proud to be a strong, independent woman and I think a lot of other women should support themselves more.”

As the bride’s wedding is due to air this week, Channel Nine has aired adverts that tease a bumpy ride for Tamara and her fiancé.

“I judge everyone. I just meet people and make up my mind. I am extremely picky. I know what I want and what I deserve,” Tamara sneers in a promotional clip.

“I don’t worry about how viewers will respond to me because I don’t need people’s validation to be happy with who I am,” she told New Idea on Monday.

Tamara then seems immediately disappointed by her “husband”.

“He seems like an average guy. Average just isn’t for me. I’m not average. I don’t average,” she laments to producers after meeting her husband at the altar.

Although Tamara is honest — if not direct — about what she wants, she maintains that she’s down to earth and hopes viewers will see that side of her.
