Married to First Sight, Cathy Evans reveals that she moved from New Zealand to Australia for a man who ended up cheating on her – as her trust issues are exposed on the show
It’s been just over four years since Cathy Evans, the star of Married at first sight, moved to Australia.
And now the New Zealand-raised bride has revealed that she moved to Australia to be with her long-distance boyfriend at the time, who then cheated on her.
The 26-year-old explained that she did not regret the decision despite her setbacks in the relationship and that she now considers Australia to be her true home.

The logistics investigator told 9now that the move also involved work opportunities and a new start, as well as his long-distance relationship.
She has been considering moving to Australia since 2014, when she asked for city recommendations on Instagram.
In August 2015, Cathy moved to Maroubra Beach, in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.

Cathy revealed that the move was “ intimidating, ” fearing that she might not be able to make new friends as an adult.
“I was really nervous about doing it and I was worried,” said the reality star.
She added: “ I felt like I was really going to fight. But once I was in it, I was fine. I made friends quite easily.

But Cathy finally fought against grief, after feeling that her boyfriend suspected someone else behind her back.
Cathy told Nine Now in February that when she confronted him, her former partner told her that he was “not attracted to her” and “not there.”
“ The week after we broke up, my friends went somewhere to the beach and they saw him hold hands with another girl, and it was the girl with whom I had this inclination that he was cheating on me she explained.

The Sydney-based beauty says she questioned her worth and wondered if she wasn’t attractive after the betrayal.
Cathy also revealed that she was cheated again in a later relationship, and the devastation left her vulnerable in her relationship with groom Josh, 28.
“The fight happened because I felt jealous, I felt intimidated that he was talking to Hayley,” admitted Cathy, referring to her female MAFS co-star.

She continued, “I discussed it with him. I became defensive and angry and it made things a thousand times worse.
“Josh told me that” if you have confidence issues with me, I’ll write “Quit” because I can’t be with a girl who has trust issues “and it broke my heart to have said it. ”
While the couple resolved their problems at a tearful engagement ceremony, they have since had communication problems, which resulted in Cathy not talking to Josh for three days.
