Markets: Bitcoin, Ether up;  Shiba Inu Tops Top 10 Cryptos – Yahoo Finance

Bitcoin and ether rose in Asian trading on Thursday afternoon, with Shiba Inu leading the gains in most of the top 10 non-stable cryptocurrencies.

  • Bitcoin rose 0.31% in the past 24 hours and traded at US$16,830 as of 4:30 p.m. in Hong Kong, and Ether edged up 0.38% to US$1,233, according to CoinMarketCap.

  • Shiba Inu gained 2.12% to $0.000009209, possibly on bullish market sentiment ahead of its Metaverse an event Friday.

  • The polygon rose 1.77% to $0.8958, after hitting announcement Wednesday that it will partner with blockchain-based e-commerce platform LGND and Warner Music Group to establish an NFT music platform.

  • Litecoin fell 1.83% to US$75.57. Litecoin is down after hitting a six-month high on Dec. 3.

  • Asian markets were mixed after Wall Street pulled back overnight. The Nikkei 225 fell 0.4%, the Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.071%, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index gained 3.38%.

  • Hong Kong local media Wen Wei Po and Sing Tao Daily reported that the Hong Kong government was discussing further relaxations of Covid-19 restrictions, including reducing the duration of quarantine, removing Covid testing requirements for entry and mask orders in outdoor locations.
