Mark Goldbridge has hit back at claims he is “toxic” to Manchester United after making headlines.
One of the talkSPORT host’s messages on X, formerly Twitter, led to the club speaking to Alejandro Garnacho.

Garnacho liked a post from Goldbridge which criticized his half-time substitution in the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth, with the post also suggesting he had been “thrown under the bus” by Erik ten Hag.
The winger quickly deleted the likes and it is believed that Ten Hag spoke to him.
The United Stand host joined talkSPORT Breakfast on Tuesday and responded to claims from Manchester United season ticket holder Shaun who called him “toxic” for the club.
Goldbridge responded by saying, “You get these people and I have no problem with that. They definitely don’t watch the content, I’d like to know what toxic things I’ve said in the last year. Maybe Shaun can let me know.
“I think there’s a misconception about things that people don’t watch. I’m not going to judge Eastenders because I don’t watch it.
“I don’t want the manager to be sacked, is that toxic? I wanted [Marcus] Rashford is back in the team after drinking, is it toxic? I’m supporting a 19-year-old who has been good for us this season.
“People are entitled to their opinion, but I think they need to be educated about such stupid words.”
Commenting on his social media activity, Goldbridge added: “Apparently you can’t tweet now. I’m the biggest problem at Manchester United. Neither the Glazers, nor the manager.

“I posted a tweet as a fan, and it’s not my fault he liked it. I certainly don’t apologize for it, I stand by what I said.
Garnacho has been one of United’s bright spots this season, racking up nine goals and four assists in 42 games in all competitions.
Goldbridge reiterated that Ten Hag was wrong to publicly call out the teenager.
He continued: “You say things in a match that happens in the heat of the moment, but it’s after the match. I didn’t really understand the replacement and I don’t think I misinterpreted it.
“On two occasions he said there was a problem on the right side, Garnacho made two errors which led to the goal.
“Subtly, I think he was criticizing Garnacho for not having had a good match.
“My problem with that is that I saw Casemiro, Rashford and other more experienced players being bad for Manchester United for a long, long time.
“You have a 19-year-old who has been good for us this season and I thought he was basically milking him, which is a bit inconsistent and that was really what I meant.
“With the first goal, Rasmus [Hojlund] throws him the ball and he loses it and that leads directly to [Dominic] Solanke scores.
“I don’t think anyone would deny it, but I think over the course of a season you have money in the bank with a manager and I just felt Casemiro was so bad and has been for a month.

“Jamie Redknapp said it was like he was in Soccer Aid, although it’s a joke, it’s true. I know some managers do things differently, but I didn’t like it.
“Saturday was the tipping point for Ten Hag where some of his selections, substitutions and style of football where he thinks he’s going to win and then Bournemouth dominated us.
“There are frustrations among the fans. I think United fans have every right to be frustrated.
“It’s so difficult to watch us at the moment, we are dominated by teams who are just trying us and that’s a fact.”
