Margot Robbie slaps a handy figure while rollerblading with Ryan Gosling on Barbie

Production continued on Warner Bros.’ Barbie on Tuesday, with a scene showing that Barbie is definitely ready to fight back.

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling were once again spotted in their matching pink outfits as they filmed more rollerblading scenes on the Venice Beach boardwalk on Tuesday.

This particular scene, however, took quite a twist, as she turns around and punches a frat boy character after he punches her from behind.

Robbie wore his pink one-piece swimsuit over hot pink biker shorts with elbow pads, knee pads and neon green roller skates.

The stranger in the hand was wearing a blue backwards baseball cap with a blue button-up shirt and beige shorts and slip-on shoes, seen turning around to slap Barbie on the back.

Robbie turns around and slaps the man in the face, sending him down the concrete boardwalk.

The man’s hat was seen flying off as he fell to the ground after Barbie slapped the character.

Before filming the scene, Robbie was seen measuring the shot with the actor, with several other crew members nearby.

Another angle showed Barbie’s shocked expression after she slapped the man, as he began to fall.

Not much has been revealed about the story, although Robbie and Gosling lead a pretty huge cast.

Will Ferrell – who was also seen on skates a few days ago – also stars alongside Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Michael Cera, Kate McKinnon and Alexandra Shipp.

Emerald Fennell, writer and director of Promising Young Woman, also has a role alongside Rhea Perlman, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Ariana Greenblatt.

Greta Gerwig (Little Women) is directing the Barbie movie from a screenplay she co-wrote with Noah Baumbach (Marriage Story).

Robbie is also producing the film through his company LuckyChap Entertainment, along with Tom Ackerley, Robbie Brenner, David Heyman, Ynon Kreiz and Josey McNamara.

Warner Bros. Barbie will be released on July 21, 2023, alongside Universal Pictures’ Oppenheimer.
