Mandy Moore shares candid snap of newborn August taken by her doula, says she ‘still deals with the flow of Gus’ birth
Many Moore shared a candid snap of her birth son August Harrison – which she shortens to Gus – whom she welcomed into the world last month.
“ I’m still dealing with how Gus’ birth went with total gratitude for my body, my support team, and the trip our sweet boy made to meet us, ” Moore said under- captioned the photo, which she added was taken by her “ gorgeous ” doula.
The black-and-white snapshot shows mother and baby in a tight embrace, as Moore, 36, cooed over her little one.

The This Is Us actress previously shared a photo of her baby with her face carefully kept out of the frame and writing: ‘A week on the edge of the earth. The best week of my life.
In recent years, she has starred on the tearjerker TV show This Is Us and joked in the caption of her new baby photo: ‘#thisisgus’.
Mandy shares her baby boy with Dawes singer Taylor Goldsmith, whom she married at a sunset wedding in her backyard in 2018.
She broke the news of her pregnancy in September with an Instagram photo of herself and her husband stroking her bump.
“ Baby Boy Goldsmith is coming in early 2021, ” the This Is Us actress revealed to more than four million Instagram followers.

Mandy gave birth last Saturday and has since revealed on Instagram how she and her husband decided to name the baby August.
“ It was last August when @taylordawesgoldsmith and I found out we had a boy (it’s also the month Taylor was born) and we always loved the name … so that was sorted out very early on in our book, ” Mandy said.
The caption was accompanied by a photo of a small gray baby blanket with the words “AUGUST” sewn onto it.

“Then, for our anniversary in November, T gave me this blanket with the ‘A’ (for Amanda) made from extra fabric from my wedding dress and the ‘T’ (for Taylor) from her wedding shirt. . Felt like a very fitting amalgamation of all of our history. Can’t wait to pass this on to our sweet August one day, ” Mandy said.
At the end of last month, she spoke candidly about the anxiety she felt upon learning she was pregnant while suffering from endometriosis.
“ Because of this problem with my uterus, I was very hesitant to believe it and stock it up, ” she told Romper. “ I kind of held my breath for up to 12 weeks. ”
