Manchester United have completed the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Marcus Sabitzer for rent.
The Premier League outfit have entered talks with the Austria international to replace Christian Eriksen, who will now be out for three months with an ankle injury.

Manager Erik ten Hag initially downplayed a replacement before Sabitzer, who played 54 times for Bayern, became an option.
The player was absent from Bayern training on Tuesday as he traveled to the UK to complete his move.
It is understood that Chelsea have shown late interest in Sabitzer with their big-money transfer for Enzo Fernandez on the line.
But Sabizzter opted to join the Red Devils for the remainder of the campaign.
“Sometimes in life you have to make quick and big decisions,” Sabitzer said.
“From the moment I heard about this opportunity I knew it was right for me. I am a competitive player; I want to win and help the club achieve their goals this season.

Erik ten Hag has changed his stance on the recruitment of another midfielder
“I feel like I’m at my peak as a player and I can bring a lot of experience and energy to the team. I’m excited to start with my new teammates and manager and show my qualities to the fans of Manchester United.”
Commenting on the decision, United director of football John Murtough said: “Marcel is a player we have been watching for a long time. The opportunity came quickly, and we knew he was someone with the ability. and the character to make an impact. He adds quality to our team and experience in the dressing room, and we are all delighted to welcome him to Manchester United.
Sabitzer has endured a mixed campaign so far, having scored once in 15 appearances.

Sabitzer could be key to Man United’s push for Champions League places and first piece of silverware in six years
He has played a minor role for the Bundesliga side with just one minute of action in Bayern’s three games since resuming league duties after the World Cup.
Fans will remember Sabitzer’s star performance for former club RB Leipzig when he scored twice to knock Tottenham out of the Champions League in March 2020.
With United in good form and on course to crack the top four, Ten Hag will want a full squad to choose from for their assault on domestic and European glory.
