Manchester United are set to sell Anthony Martial this summer with Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Benfica star Goncalo Ramos and Ajax a pair of potential replacements

Manchester United are ready to sell striker Anthony Martial this summer as boss Erik ten Hag eyes a new striker.

The 27-year-old has missed 20 of United’s 34 games this campaign and has been out for 16 weeks, following five separate injury dismissals.

Martial is under contract until 2024 and the Red Devils have the option of extending his contract for another year, so they will likely use the summer window to cash in.

According to the Manchester Evening News, he is among the players United have listed for sale at the end of the season.

The report adds that Ten Hag is also likely to cut ties with skipper Harry Maguire and left-back Alex Telles.

It has, however, been revealed that United have decided to list Martial as a player they want to offload ahead of his latest injury setback.

After scoring in the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup semi-final, the France international then dropped out of the squad for the Premier League win over Crystal Palace.

Ten Hag is keen on a new striker, with Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen linked.

Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos and Ajax pair Mohammed Kudus and Brian Brobbey are other options being considered.

Martial’s time at Old Trafford looks set to run out of steam, with the player scoring just eight goals in the 2020/21 and 2021/22 campaigns.

He was then loaned out to Sevilla in January 2022, where he scored just once in La Liga.

Martial joined United for £58m on deadline day in September 2015, but he has broken the 20-goal barrier just once in a season.

The Frenchman has scored six goals so far this season but failed to complete a full 90 minutes.
