Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick is enjoying a nice Champions League qualifying bonus.
A 1-0 win over West Ham put them level on points with fourth-placed Hammers. Marcus Rashford’s stoppage-time goal secured a big win for Rangnick’s side.
United beat Brentford in midweek after a slightly disappointing 2-2 draw with Aston Villa last weekend.
Rangnick will earn a big salary if he secures Champions League football for next season. It will be quite a feat given that the Old Trafford side appeared miles away from European qualification towards the end of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tenure.
The Daily Star reports United will pay the 63-year-old £500,000 if he finishes in the top four. This is on top of his weekly salary of £180,000.
The former RB Leipzig tactician has been appointed on a deal until the end of the season after United parted ways with club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November.
