Man United vs Burnley: What was said?

Man United captain Maguire was one of England’s finest players in Qatar but is now returning for the Red Devils, where his form was less than impressive.

Manager Erik ten Hag believes he can replicate his international performances to transform the shape of his club.

“I have often been asked if he is good enough to play for me and clearly he is good enough to play at the highest level,” he said.

“He has, for England, almost all the time good games. Yes, he had a period in Manchester where he performed poorly and then of course there are difficulties.

“When he works hard you get that confidence and you see it with the way he plays for England.

“We want him to bring that back to Manchester with him so he can bring it onto the pitch for Manchester United.”
