Manchester United fans have been described as ‘spoiled children’ who ‘scare’ their players with so much abuse.
United reached what many described as a ‘new low’ at the weekend, losing 4-0 to Brentford within 35 minutes of their Premier League encounter.
The Bees picked up one of their greatest wins ever by easily squeezing their opponents into mistakes, leaving them in shock as the goals piled up.
The attention of many in Manchester, much like former player Gary Neville, has turned to Glazer ownership when it comes to who is responsible for such a poor start under new boss Erik ten Hag .
Protests are planned for the upcoming home game against Liverpool, with fans planning to leave Old Trafford, with calls growing for the American family to sell the club.
Former Premier League midfielder Darren Ambrose isn’t too happy with the club’s fans, however, with the current talkSPORT host saying abuse directed at players is part of their current malaise.
“United supporters need to pull themselves together, get into real life,” he said. “You deal with what other football clubs deal with week in and week out.
“Since the start of the Premier League, now the 30th anniversary, Manchester United have won 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, four League Cups, two Champions Leagues and a Europa League.
“As Spurs supporters we have won two League Cups and been in the Champions League final once, that’s why I say they are spoiled brats, you haven’t won a title since 2012/13, boohoo.
“This is when Manchester United need the fans, they don’t need people booing, they don’t need social media saying Harry Maguire was standing on the wrong side of the tunnel, no wonder They’re so scared to go out there, no wonder Manchester United don’t win anything, the support base is just wasted by winning so many titles.
“I understand the passion, I understand that’s the reason why, but that’s football now, you’re in transition and you have to rebuild.
“You’ve spent an awful lot of money, you can argue it’s the property, you can argue it’s the players, I don’t disagree with either, something has to change at the top, the players are unfortunately not the players of old, the manager is not Alex Ferguson.
