Mahalia Barnes stormed the stage during the pre-match entertainment ahead of Sunday’s NRLW Grand Final match.
The 40-year-old rocked the stage with a rendition of Russell Morris classic The Real Thing ahead of the match between Newcastle Knights and Parramatta Eels at the Accor Stadium.
Accompanied by musicians A.Girl and Emma Donovan, Mahalia, who is the daughter of rocker Jimmy Barnes, showcased her powerful vocals.

‘Mahalia Barnes, what a voice! I’m now really hoping for a Barnsey and Barnsey cover of Simply the Best,’ one person wrote.

“With no disrespect, but there @NRL has to invest a lot of money to get a massive artist for the #NRLGF. Most years the AFL leaves them for dead every time,’ one person tweeted.
