Channel Nine’s Married At First Sight premiere DOMES the ratings and beats Ten’s Australian Survivor and Seven’s Australian Idol
Married at First Sight has always been an audience favorite.
And once again, the tenth season premiere topped OzTAM’s ratings on Monday night.
The Channel Nine dating show topped demographics and drew 840,000 subway viewers.

The figure puts it ahead of the premiere of Channel Ten’s Australian Survivor and Seven’s Australian Idol.
Australian Survivor launched to 447,000 viewers, while Australian Idol attracted only 413,000 viewers on the Underground.
Despite the win, Married At First Sight’s ratings were down from its 2022 premiere, which drew 869,000 viewers.

Meanwhile, bride Melissa Sheppard certainly caused a stir when she joined MAFS on Monday night.
The Sydney Northern Beaches hairstylist, 41, was buzzing with excitement as she introduced herself to viewers at the start of the episode, describing herself as an outgoing mother who likes to romp in the sheets.
‘I’m so excited! Tonight is going to be, like, a crazy mothers night, I think,” Melissa exclaimed while talking to a producer inside her limo ahead of hen night.

Discussing her colorful dating history, Melissa said, “I look like the girl next door, but I like to actually see myself as a little monster in the sheets.”
“I’m no ordinary mom. Warning! Warning! I’m sassy, I’m loud and I like to spice things up. I love role-playing. Yeah, sex is huge for me,” she chuckled. .
Melissa was then filmed sorting through her lingerie drawer, presumably while packing for her wedding night and honeymoon.
Outside of hen night, Melissa told the cameras, “I’m so excited for my wedding, I can’t wait!” My future husband, enjoy your last night of freedom, because you are about to marry me. It’s a lot.’
