She’s the self-proclaimed black sheep of the family who signed up for Married at First Sight in hopes of finding the partner of her dreams.
But it looks like Selina Chhaur, half-Cambodian and half-Chinese, will have a hard time convincing her traditional parents to approve of her quest for love.
Channel Nine has released a dramatic new trailer in which the 32-year-old Adelaide-based hairstylist sits her parents down to tell them she is planning to marry a stranger.

Selina explained that if her parents had what they wanted, she would already be married to an older, wealthy Asian man.
“If my mom could choose me the perfect husband, he would look like Kim Jong Il and have like a multi-million dollar business in China and I would be his fourth wife or something,” she told producers. .
“When I told them that not only did I want to be a hairdresser, but that I wanted to quit school, they were definitely not happy or supported. I felt such disappointment.

“There are three experts who have found my soul mate for me, but I haven’t met him yet,” she tells her parents over a cup of tea. ‘We will get married’
To prove them wrong by not only succeeding in her career, Selina hopes that the experienced experts can also help her in her quest for love.

Her father, who is from Cambodia, responds by telling Selina that he doesn’t give his 100% approval until the scene is over.

As revealed by Daily Mail Australia, Married At First Sight won’t be her first time on reality TV.
Selina previously starred in Channel Seven’s short-lived dating series, The Proposal.
Selina was ‘proposed’ by Love Island star Aaron Shaw after the couple hit it off; however, things fell apart shortly after the series was filmed.
Married at First Sight airs Monday, January 31 on Channel Nine

This is not his first rodeo! This won’t be Selina’s first time on a reality TV show. Selina previously starred in Channel Seven’s short-lived dating series, The Proposal
