Lori Loughlin showcased her return to comedy in a recently released teaser for the upcoming TV special, When Hope Calls Christmas.
In the clip, the 57-year-old actress was seen reprising her role as Abigail Stanton alongside Carter Ryan in preparation for the second season premiere of the GAC Family show.
This is the first time the struggling actress has appeared in a major production since she and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were indicted for their involvement in a bribery scandal in college admissions in 2019.

The clip begins with Stanton and his son, Cody, approaching a Christmas tree that had been set up in the center of their town.
The couple strike up a conversation and the character’s son notices that he and his sister were much better off with their mother’s help and guidance.
Stanton then gives a motherly smile and tells Cody that “nothing has made me happier than being your mother”, after which they kiss.
When Hope Calls, which debuted in 2019, is a spinoff from the Hallmark series When Calls the Heart – in which Lori starred from 2014 until her involuntary departure in 2019.

When Calls the Heart is based on the first book in Janette Oke’s Canadian West novel series, the first opus being published in 1983.
When Hope Calls centers on a pair of orphaned sisters who reunite as adults and set up an orphanage in a small town in western Canada.
The series stars Morgan Kohan, Jocelyn Hudon and Wendy Crewson, among others, in lead roles.
The first season of When Hope Calls initially debuted in 2019, and the Full House actress is expected to feature in the premiere of her second season, which will arrive on December 18.
Loughlin has previously been removed from the cast of When Calls the Heart due to her involvement in a college admissions scandal, collectively known as Operation Varsity Blues.

In 2019, the actress and Giannuli were implicated among many others for donating to an organization to gain acceptance for her daughters, including Olivia Jade, at the University of Southern California.
Other personalities implicated in the scandal include actress Felicity Huffman and businesswoman Jane Buckingham.
The artist and her husband, 58, were then charged with their role in the scandal. She then served two months in prison and was released just after last Christmas.
Her husband received five months for his actions, and he completed the last part of his sentence in house arrest.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Loughlin and Giannuli had applied for permission to take a week-long trip to Mexico.
According to TMZ, the couple were looking to attend a close friend’s wedding, which is being held in the vacation destination of San Jose del Cabo.
The couple also stressed that they had each respected the conditions of their release and that they had completed their respective periods of community service.
On Thursday morning, the media reported that the couple had been allowed to leave the country for the event.
